When it comes to sex toys, you have two basic options for those that have the vibration function - battery operated or USB rechargeable. There are some things to consider when you're making your choice on battery operated or rechargeable toys!

Battery operated toys are less expensive than their rechargeable counterparts. This can be a great way to save money if you don't have much spending power! However battery operated toys tend not to last quite as long as rechargeable ones do. If you are using battery operated toys, you have to make sure that you have fresh new batteries available at all times. If you don't, the ones in your toy can die while you are in the middle of play. However you can easily switch to new batteries, which will only take a few seconds so you can resume again without losing your arousal level. However if you don't have batteries in the house when that happens, then you're out of luck. You have to make sure there are no cracks or damage done to the battery location as this could cause your toy to malfunction, and it's recommended that after each use you remove the batteries before cleaning and storing your toy so if the batteries corrode they won't ruin your toy. Another thing to consider is the cost of batteries, and making sure you're well stocked at all times.

USB rechargeable toys do tend to be more expensive, but it saves you the cost of batteries in the long run and they tend to last longer than those that are battery powered. You'll want to make sure that each toy is fully charged because if the toy should die during play, unlike battery operated where a quick switch of the batteries allow you to resume play, a rechargeable toy takes longer to charge. However if you make sure to put your toy on charge after use you can usually avoid this. You should also check the toy over for any damages before use. Aftercare is basically the same, you clean your toy thoroughly and before storing it away for the next play date, you might want to plug it in and give it another charge.

All in all, it depends on the value of the toy that you're looking for! If you have a little extra money and want to splurge, rechargeable is a great way to make an investment. If you simply want something less expensive, or you want to stick to your tried and true toys, then battery powered are a great option!

Until next time!
